Hello there my horror fiends,
As you all know, I write for http://www.horroraddicts.net as a game reviewer but recently I have had the privilege writing the news for the Next Great Horror Writer competition and man, is it intense! I implore you to go over there and read up on the contestants and get involved. It is a great way to not only support up and coming horror writers, but also supporting the indie publishing industry.
This weeks competition was one of my favorites. The competition was centered around the contestants writing an audio-drama and having the Horror Addicts team act it out. The audio-dramas were pretty scary, with some even being funny. These competitors sure do have a knack for radio.
In a personal update, I’ve begun writing the sequel to Rippling Rage, which drops on April 18th, 2018. My good friend Stacy Rich, the editor of the website, has offered to interview me and help with the marketing of my book once it drops! That literally made my week. I love having horror addicts as friends, even if it is just online. The horror community has always been very welcoming of other gore heads and it’s devilishly fun.
I’ve been loving the writing experience and I don’t think I can ever stop writing. It’s what fuels my soul, my passions, and tops my heart off with darkness. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys for all of your patience with me these past few months. I promise to never leave you hanging!
Some food for thought: One of the horror contestants stated that she had a dream about how Stephen King and Dean Koontz were fighting her affections to be their number one fan. Who do you think would win if that happened to you? I think for me, it would be Stephen King since I’m a horror conspiracy theorist, but that’s just me. Let me know who you’d choose in the battle of of the two great horror authors!
Until next time, stay scared
