Leave of Absence Explained

Long time no see my horror fanatics!  I thought that I would pop in to explain what has been going on in my life that I haven’t been contributing to my website since May.  My life has been in a tailspin and I am so happy to be back in the mix!

The main reason why I haven’t written since may is because I have been in the process of moving, and we all know how stressful moving can be.  I am actually in the American military so moving is a huge stressor on not only the family unit, but work itself.  I was working around the clock packing, sorting, and setting everything up for my big move from Germany to Alabama.

Another reason that I stopped blogging was because I honestly needed a break from writing.  In just three months I wrote over ten horror short stories, a novel, began blogging for Horror Addicts, and started blogging on my own site here.  With that, on top of working and moving, I needed a break for my mental health.  It wasn’t that my mental health was taking a nose-dive by any means, it was just that all of the pressures were causing stress and I just needed an extended vacation, especially after finishing my first novel.  I basically decided to drop the blog in favor of only keeping up with my Horror Addicts Ghastly Game Reviews for the few months while I transition.

What does all of this information mean to you?  Well, it means that I’m back in the full swing of things! I plan on blogging at least once a week, maybe getting a schedule down with it.  I’m going to also start a second novel, and get back into the game of writing short horror stories.  I’ve been debating on creating an anthology series for all of my stories, but we’ll see what happens.  I would love to drop everything and be a full-time writer, but you know, I’ve got bills to pay!

Thank you guys so much for following me and being patient with me through this time.  I know this isn’t typical of my blog posts and I promise my next one will be straight up horror!

Until next time my horror fanatics, stay scared.
